Hyundai Motor Group presented its action plans for establishing a waste-to-hydrogen ecosystem in West Java Province, Indonesia at the Global Hydrogen Ecosystem Summit in Jakarta. The initiative involves collaborating with Pertamina, Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Ministry of National Development Planning. By 2027, Hyundai plans to launch an on-site hydrogen refueling station using Pertamina's CNG infrastructure and low-carbon hydrogen from biogas sourced at the Sarimukti landfill. The project aims to prevent natural disasters, improve local access to drinking water and healthcare, and extract biogas for hydrogen production.
