Indian billionaire Prashant Ruia, chief executive of Essar Group, is overseeing the development of the UK's first emissions-free oil refinery on the banks of the River Mersey. The refinery, situated near the Stanlow plant, is set to run on hydrogen, marking a significant transition towards cleaner energy sources in the region.
