Gensol Engineering Ltd, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd, has emerged as the lowest bidder securing the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for India’s inaugural bio-hydrogen project, valued at ₹164 crore. The project, slated for completion within eighteen months, is a significant stride towards bolstering India’s national green hydrogen mission, focusing on generating green hydrogen from biomass sources. By collaborating with Westinghouse from the USA and employing the GH2-PREGS technology, the consortium aims to develop a twenty-five ton per day (TPD) bio-waste processing facility and produce one ton per day (TPD) of green hydrogen. Anmol Singh Jaggi, Chairman of Gensol Engineering, expressed contentment in leading this pioneering project, emphasizing the consortium's dedication to innovation in the renewable energy sphere. Chirag Kotecha, Director at Matrix Gas & Renewables, underscored the team’s commitment to project precision and efficiency, foreseeing the venture as a blueprint for upcoming green hydrogen initiatives and a cornerstone in plasma waste-to-energy technology advancement. This endeavor not only positions Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas & Renewables as key players in the renewable energy sector but also solidifies India's stance in sustainable energy development through green hydrogen production.
