Ingeteam, a Spanish technology company, has secured a significant project to supply 20 units of its full skid solution equipped with 40 INGECON H2 E6000 rectifiers for a green hydrogen initiative at BP's Lingen refinery in Germany. The project, set to produce up to 11,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, will utilize electricity from an offshore wind power purchase agreement (PPA) to replace the current production of grey hydrogen through carbon reforming. In 2018, the same refinery conducted the world's first test of renewable hydrogen production, showcasing its commitment to sustainable practices. This new contract underscores Ingeteam's technological prowess in the green hydrogen sector and signifies a significant step towards large-scale renewable hydrogen production. The company's rectifiers were selected for their high current density and optimized design, meeting the project's rigorous demands. Ingeteam's milestone of exceeding half a gigawatt supplied or awarded further solidifies its position as a leading manufacturer in the industry.
