ITM Power has been chosen to supply 8MW of its PEM electrolysers to phase one of the Tees Green Hydrogen project in Northeast England. This project, led by EDF Renewables UK and Hynamics, aims to start with a capacity of 7.5MW by 2026 but has the potential to expand up to 300MW. The produced hydrogen is intended for local industrial and transport use. Despite the selection of ITM Power for the project, delays in finalizing government funding have stalled the final investment decision. The project was shortlisted for subsidies under the UK Government's hydrogen allocation round, showcasing government interest in supporting such initiatives. Additionally, H2 View provides hydrogen training modules through its 'Class of H2' program to educate stakeholders on various aspects of hydrogen production and applications, aiming to bridge the skills gap in the industry.
