H2 Global Energy, in collaboration with industry partners, has submitted a technical report for a revolutionary green ammonia production facility in Aqaba, Jordan. This facility, with a capacity of one million metric tons, signifies a major breakthrough in the green hydrogen and ammonia sectors. Green hydrogen and ammonia have garnered momentum due to their pivotal role in global decarbonization and climate change mitigation. The facility's construction, outlined in the technical report, emphasizes sustainability and innovation. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions, aligning with Jordan's renewable energy objectives while positioning the country as a significant contributor to the green energy landscape in the MENA region. By producing green ammonia locally, Jordan enhances energy security and economic growth, supporting its shift towards renewable resources. The project is expected to attract foreign investment, create employment opportunities, and bolster Jordan's presence in the global green hydrogen economy. Waleed AlHallaj, H2 Global Energy's Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the project's importance in promoting sustainability and advancing green energy solutions that cater to regional and global needs. The consortium, dedicated to a low-carbon economy, aims to make the Aqaba facility a model for green ammonia production worldwide, with support from the Jordanian government and international stakeholders.
