KBR, a U.S.-based company specializing in science, technology, and engineering, has secured an advisory consulting contract from Kuwait Oil Company to assist in the development of a comprehensive plan for renewable energy and green hydrogen production in Kuwait. This ambitious project aims to generate 17 GW of renewables and 25 GW of green hydrogen by 2050. KBR's role will involve providing strategic advice on the phased deployment of wind and solar power integrated with power storage, along with the production of green hydrogen for local industrial usage and potential export markets. The consultancy services will span over 18 months and will include market analysis, feasibility studies, and the training of local talent to support the project's implementation.
