Lhyfe, a producer and supplier of renewable hydrogen, has initiated the construction of a groundbreaking production plant in Le Cheylas, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. This plant, situated on a former waste storage location, will have a capacity of 4 tons per day, doubling its initial design, making it the company's largest renewable hydrogen production site in France. The project, with an electrolysis capacity of 10 MW, aligns with Lhyfe's European strategy of expanding its presence in sustainable energy production. The increased capacity at the Le Cheylas site aims to meet growing local demand and decarbonize regional mobility and industry by providing a renewable alternative to grey hydrogen. The project's launch was attended by regional authorities, highlighting the significance of such initiatives for environmental sustainability.
