The Hydrogen Infrastructure Map, jointly created by six industry associations, illuminates the rapid growth of hydrogen infrastructure across Europe. This map underscores the increasing interest in hydrogen as a key element of the continent's energy transition towards decarbonization. Featuring over 100 new projects, many aligning with the TYNDP 2024, the map signifies a significant upsurge in hydrogen transmission, storage, terminal, and production initiatives. Furthermore, the map highlights a surge in electrolyzer projects throughout Europe, although there is still a scarcity of off-taker projects. Notably, the map showcases a broader geographic distribution of hydrogen ventures, extending to regions like Bosnia-Herzegovina, Crete, Tunisia, and Serbia, indicating a continent-wide commitment to hydrogen infrastructure development. The associations responsible for the map's creation intend to update it biannually to capture the evolving landscape of hydrogen infrastructure in Europe. The upcoming update in the second quarter of 2025 will continue to monitor the progress and expansion of hydrogen projects, reflecting the dynamic growth and interest in hydrogen as a clean energy solution.
