MAX Power Mining Corp. Expands Rider Natural Hydrogen Project in Saskatchewan
Key Ideas
  • MAX Power Mining Corp. has significantly enlarged its Rider Natural Hydrogen Project in southeast Saskatchewan, making it the largest Natural Hydrogen target area in Canada.
  • The newly acquired claim blocks, including Tribune, Bromhead, Alameda, Torquay, Macoun, Estevan, Estevan North, and Kisbey, showcase promising hydrogen data in historical wells.
  • Geologists are planning to verify the existence of a naturally occurring hydrogen trend in the Rider Project, pointing towards Saskatchewan's potential to lead in Natural Hydrogen production in North America.
  • The proposed model for the source of Natural Hydrogen in Saskatchewan highlights the favorable geology of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and the Pre-Cambrian basement as potential sources of hydrogen accumulation.
MAX Power Mining Corp. has expanded its Rider Natural Hydrogen Project in southeast Saskatchewan, making it the largest Natural Hydrogen target area in Canada. The project now covers 3,356 sq.km, with the company staking an additional eight claim blocks totaling 2,112 sq.km. The newly acquired claim blocks, including Tribune, Bromhead, Alameda, Torquay, Macoun, Estevan, Estevan North, and Kisbey, exhibit promising hydrogen data in historical wells, with some wells showing hydrogen values as high as 87.1%. Geologists are gearing up to verify and validate the existence of a naturally occurring hydrogen trend at Rider. Saskatchewan's favorable geology and clear policy framework position it to potentially become the first jurisdiction in North America to produce Natural Hydrogen. The proposed model for the source of Natural Hydrogen in Saskatchewan highlights the prevalence of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and the crystalline Pre-Cambrian basement as key sources, with deep structures and geological formations aiding in the accumulation of hydrogen.
