Orlen, in collaboration with 17 international partners, has successfully secured almost €9 million in funding from the EU's Clean Hydrogen Partnership for the HySPARK project. This marks a significant milestone as the first such grant in Poland. The allocated funds will be utilized to produce and conduct tests on hydrogen-powered vehicles at Warsaw's Chopin Airport and within the city's public transportation system. The project involves partnerships with notable companies like ARTHUR BUS and Quantron, with the primary objective of establishing a hydrogen distribution network in Central Poland. HySPARK forms part of the broader Mazovian Hydrogen Valley initiative, which aims to develop a regional hydrogen ecosystem. Through initiatives like HySPARK and the Mazovian Hydrogen Valley, Poland is positioning itself to play a key role in the advancement and adoption of hydrogen technology, particularly in the transportation sector.
