Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) and Kopala International SL have formed a partnership to deploy hydrogen-electric Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) in Europe, aiming to decarbonize the road haulage industry. Through HVS's Transition to Zero Programme, Kopala International will transition its fleet to zero-emission solutions, guided by technology, infrastructure, financing, safety, and government incentives. This collaboration supports Spain's objective of adopting hydrogen in heavy goods transportation to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. The European Commission's approval of state aid for Spain's renewable hydrogen industry further solidifies the country's commitment to this eco-friendly fuel. The HydrogenizingBCN Initiative, initiated in 2020, seeks to establish a green hydrogen-powered mobility network infrastructure in Europe. By participating in this initiative, HVS aims to support the development of a hydrogen corridor by 2027, aligning with EU and Spain's green hydrogen roadmaps. Kopala International's commitment to producing and supplying green hydrogen for fueling hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles is a significant step towards a sustainable transportation ecosystem. HVS's entry into the European market with 50 left-hand drive HGVs signifies a milestone in promoting zero-emission heavy-duty transportation, showcasing features like zero emissions, long-range capabilities, and cost-efficiency.
