PFC Consulting Ltd's subsidiary, Kandla GHA Power Transmission Ltd, has been established for the development of a 3 GW ISTS-TBCB scheme to support upcoming green hydrogen plants in Kandla, Gujarat. The project aims to supply renewable energy to green hydrogen manufacturing units by creating infrastructure including a new substation and a transmission line connecting to the Halvad substation. By the end of FY28, around 2,190 MW of green energy will be required for the green hydrogen plants in Kandla, expected to rise to 6 GW by FY30. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2,775 crore with a gestation period of 30 months. Modifications to the tender documents include the use of drones for stringing transmission lines passing through forest areas. Additionally, PFCCL is involved in bidding processes for other green hydrogen projects in Mundra, Tuticorin, and the NER Expansion Transmission scheme in the North Eastern Region.
