PFC's subsidiary, PFC Consulting Ltd, has formed a special purpose vehicle named Mundra I Transmission Ltd to develop a crucial electricity transmission system in Gujarat. This SPV aims to facilitate power supply to upcoming green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing projects in the Mundra region, aligning with India's focus on clean energy and Gujarat's potential as a green energy hub. PFCCL will oversee the competitive bidding process to select a Transmission Service Provider for the system, ensuring efficient grid integration for large-scale renewable projects. The successful bidder will take over the operations of the SPV post-bidding. This project signifies a significant step in addressing power infrastructure requirements for green energy production in Gujarat, supporting India's renewable energy goals. By fostering private sector participation and attracting investments in green energy projects, this initiative by PFC is set to enhance regional power connectivity and contribute to India's net-zero commitments.
