In a significant development, Rely has partnered with French and Belgian Export Credit Agencies, Credendo and Bpifrance, to accelerate the progress of green hydrogen initiatives. The joint venture, established by Technip Energies and John Cockerill, focuses on developing large-scale green hydrogen and Power-to-X production solutions. Through a Memorandum of Understanding, the Export Credit Agencies will play a crucial role in providing insurance, co-insurance, or re-insurance schemes to enhance project financing for Rely's clients. This collaboration aims to increase project eligibility for financing, making it more attractive for commercial banks to offer debt financing at competitive rates. By covering commercial and political risks up to 95% of losses in case of default, the ECA's support ensures credit approval by lenders, fostering a conducive environment for green hydrogen projects. Damien Eyriès, CEO of Rely, expressed his appreciation for the partnership, highlighting its significance in facilitating the financing of Power-to-X projects for clients. He also emphasized the evolution of Rely's product portfolio, mentioning the Clear100+ platform launched in June 2024 as a testament to the company's commitment to providing standardized yet flexible solutions for the energy sector.
