Rep. Mark DeSaulnier from Concord has pushed forward 15 projects worth $35 million to enhance public safety, education, transportation, and sustainability in his district and San Ramon Valley. These projects, if approved, will have countywide and local impacts, with a significant focus on improving infrastructure. One of the key projects targets safety and accessibility enhancements on Village Parkway in Dublin, addressing critical needs near Dublin High School. Other projects include funding for the Contra Costa District Attorney’s office to combat organized retail theft and labor trafficking, and for the Contra Costa Fire Protection District to enhance communication systems. The proposal also includes a $4 million upgrade to ultraviolet technology at the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District to improve energy efficiency. Notably, there is a $4 million project for the purchase and installation of hydrogen fuel cell generators for County Connection to support the transition to zero-emission buses, ensuring reliable transit service in the community.
