RWE has successfully obtained planning consent for Wales' inaugural significant green hydrogen facility, a 100 MW electrolyser plant adjacent to Pembroke Power Station. This plant will feature a direct pipeline connection to nearby industries, aiming to reduce carbon emissions by 93,000 tonnes annually, equivalent to the impact of removing 18,600 cars from the road each year. The project, expected to be operational in 2027 or 2028, will create approximately 200 jobs during the construction phase.
