The plant is set to have a daily production capacity of 40 tons. Collaborating with partners like BSBK Pvt Ltd, Ten Eighty Investment, and IIT Bhilai, each bringing essential expertise to ensure the success of the project. The total project capital expenditure is projected at Rs 230 crore, with the government offering substantial financial support by covering approximately Rs 161 crore, which accounts for 70% of the funding. The initiative aims to address three components outlined by the government, including developing a hydrogen-based DRI pilot project, employing hydrogen in blast furnaces to reduce coal and coke usage, and incorporating hydrogen in vertical shaft-based DRI production units.
