Slovenia has entered into a significant cooperation agreement within the European Union's Clean Hydrogen Partnership, aimed at bolstering the country's capacity in hydrogen technologies. The partnership offers support for capacity building, knowledge exchange, and financing, creating favorable conditions for the development of an efficient hydrogen ecosystem in Slovenia. With the EU dedicating EUR 1 billion to the partnership until 2027, complemented by private investments, the initiative aims to drive research and innovation in hydrogen technologies across Europe. The collaboration holds particular importance for the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley project, which involves Slovenia, Croatia, and the Italian province of Friuli Venezia Giulia. This joint effort is set to receive additional funding of EUR 200 million from the EU, further propelling the advancement of hydrogen technologies in the region. State Secretary Tina Seršen, representing Slovenia, has signed the memorandum, underlining the nation's dedication to the future of hydrogen. She highlights the opportunities the partnership brings for technical assistance, strengthening Slovenia's capabilities and fostering efficient hydrogen technology deployment. Moreover, the cooperation opens doors for green technologies and sustainable solutions developed by Slovenian research institutions and businesses. By leveraging the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, Slovenia aims to enhance knowledge exchange, project development, and the management of financial resources, ultimately contributing to the successful implementation of initiatives like the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley.
