Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. (Hyundai E&C) in South Korea has taken the lead in a consortium set to construct the nation's inaugural hydrogen production facility powered by nuclear energy. The company, along with partners like Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), Samsung C&T Corp., and others, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to pave the way for a pilot project in clean hydrogen generation utilizing nuclear power. The primary goal of this collaboration is to accelerate the commercialization of technology for clean hydrogen production. This groundbreaking endeavor in South Korea not only signifies a milestone for the country but also sets the groundwork for a future of stable and large-scale clean hydrogen production.
