Five international consortia have been chosen by the Moroccan government to develop six green hydrogen projects in the southern provinces, including Western Sahara, with a total investment of 319 billion dirhams. Spanish companies like Acciona and Moeve are part of these consortia, showcasing Spain's expertise in the green hydrogen sector. The 'Morocco's Offer' initiative, activated by the Circular of the Head of Government, aims to allocate one million hectares for production, develop critical infrastructure, and provide tax incentives to attract investments. Morocco's goal is to achieve 52% renewable energy capacity by 2030, with these projects expected to drive economic growth in the region.
