Statera Energy has proposed building the UK's first utility-scale green hydrogen project in Aberdeenshire, known as Kintore Hydrogen. This initiative aims to utilize surplus renewable energy to produce green hydrogen, aiding in balancing the country's renewables-led power system. Once operational, Kintore Hydrogen is set to be the largest project of its kind in Europe, with the potential to save up to 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
