Sungrow Hydrogen, a key player in the renewable energy sector, has secured a significant contract for the '100,000-ton Liquid Sunshine' Demonstration Project in China. This initiative, valued at USD 680 million, is part of a national effort to promote green hydrogen production and reduce carbon emissions from coal-based industries. Sungrow Hydrogen will supply 16 alkaline electrolyzers, each with a capacity of 1,200 Nm³/h, along with gas-liquid separation and purification systems to support the project. The project integrates renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power totaling 625 MW, to produce 21,000 tons of green hydrogen annually. This green hydrogen will be utilized in the synthesis of 100,000 tons of methanol per year, utilizing CO₂ and green hydrogen as feedstocks.
