The grand opening on June 12 was attended by Josie Osborne, the provincial minister of energy, mines, and low-carbon innovation, underlining the government's interest in advancing hydrogen infrastructure in British Columbia. SHED's design, focusing on the convergence of hydroelectricity, solar power, and hydrogen production, positions it as a pioneer in utilizing renewable sources to produce 'green hydrogen.'
