Utility, an off-gas-to-value company, and GH EnA of South Korea have partnered to implement projects for producing clean carbon-negative hydrogen using biogas in South Korea's growing low carbon mobility market. The commercial agreement signed between the two companies aims to deploy H2Gen hydrogen plants in several locations in South Korea, including Chuncheon, Taebaek, Hongcheon, Sokcho, Yangyang, Goseong, and Inje. These projects will focus on producing hydrogen to power heavy-duty vehicles, buses, and passenger vehicles. GH EnA, specializing in the Korean energy transition, is leading the industrial decarbonization journey in the country. The collaboration between Utility and GH EnA supports South Korea's Hydrogen Economy Roadmap, which prioritizes biogas and hydrogen as energy sources to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels. The H2Gen reactors by Utility utilize eXERO gas production technology to enable the conversion of biogas into hydrogen without the need for electricity.
