VINSSEN Co., Ltd, a specialist in maritime decarbonization technologies with a focus on hydrogen fuel cells, has received project-based approval from Bureau Veritas for its 60kW PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) Fuel Cell System. This approval signifies a crucial step towards demonstrating the feasibility of hydrogen fuel cell systems onboard commercial vessels. The system includes key components such as a Fuel Cell Module, an integrated converter module, a battery system, and a transformer, all designed with a user-friendly interface for vessel operators. Seok-Hee LEE, VINSSEN's Project Manager, highlighted the challenges faced during the project but emphasized the successful outcomes achieved through the dedicated efforts of the project team and partners. In addition to this project milestone, VINSSEN recently obtained Approval in Principle (AIP) certification from Korean Register for its Maritime Fuel Cell Power Packs. The company also secured Type Approval for a 92kWh Lithium-Ion Battery System and delivered Korea's first fully battery electric passenger ferry, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable maritime solutions. To further drive innovation and growth, VINSSEN completed a Series C investment round, raising funds for product development, market expansion, and key personnel recruitment. In line with its expansion strategy, the company established a US branch office in Seattle to enter the North American market.
