Vireon's innovative approach has garnered €9.2 million in EU funding, enabling the construction of seven refueling stations in Finland and Denmark. The company's vision focuses on creating a network of green hydrogen refueling stations, connecting Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland to form essential corridors for zero-emission heavy-duty transport. By securing grants and forming key relationships with customers and partners, Vireon aims to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-powered transport in the region. Vireon's plan includes sourcing green hydrogen from local facilities and partnering with other producers to ensure a consistent supply. In Norway, six strategically located stations are set to serve heavy-duty trucks traveling between Oslo, Trondheim, and Stavanger. Additionally, Vireon is expanding its presence in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland with a strong focus on creating a comprehensive hydrogen infrastructure. The company's dedication to sustainability is evident through its commitment to on-site hydrogen production and collaboration with local energy companies. In Finland, Vireon is constructing four large-scale hydrogen stations in key locations such as Tornio, Liminka, Jyväskylä, and the greater Helsinki area. These stations will facilitate hydrogen-powered transportation from the south to the north of Finland, providing reliability for both light- and heavy-duty vehicles. Each station is strategically positioned to maximize accessibility for hydrogen-powered vehicles, enhancing the overall network's efficiency.
