Newfoundland and Labrador-based World Energy GH2 has recently joined the Green Hydrogen Organisation (GH2) to enhance the production and utilization of green hydrogen globally. The organization's focus spans various sectors like steel, cement, fertilizers, shipping, and aviation to achieve decarbonization. Sean Leet, the Managing Director and CEO of World Energy GH2, expressed pride in this collaboration, highlighting shared goals in advancing the green hydrogen industry and promoting climate action. Additionally, World Energy GH2 is progressing with Project Nujio’qonik, a substantial green hydrogen and ammonia facility in Newfoundland and Labrador. This initiative is set to contribute approximately 250,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year and has gained support from the government after meeting environmental assessment requirements. The company's ownership of the Port of Stephenville and successful completion of initial project phases further solidify its commitment to green hydrogen.
