The microgrid, planned for commissioning in August 2025, will serve 20 existing homes and 16 micro-homes under construction, enabling the community to operate off-grid.
The project kickoff, held on February 5, 2025, brought together key partners like Timberline Renewable Solutions, Emtel Energy USA, Colusa Indian Energy, Harnyss, and 7Skyline to outline the path towards full energy independence. The microgrid will feature Emtel's graphene energy storage, green hydrogen production by Harnyss, and solar energy from Colusa Indian Energy.
Sean Ahern, the Project Lead, highlighted the importance of this initiative in promoting sustainable energy and resilience within the Tribe. Phillip Martin, CEO of Emtel Energy USA, commended the Guidiville Rancheria for its strides towards energy sovereignty, emphasizing the economic and environmental benefits of the microgrid.
