Hyroad Energy, a Texas-based pioneer in hydrogen-powered transportation solutions, has been selected for funding by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality under the Texas Hydrogen Infrastructure, Vehicle and Equipment (THIVE) grant program. The company plans to deploy 28 hydrogen-powered trucks in Texas over the next two years, with the first batch expected to be delivered in the second quarter. Their trucking-as-a-service solution includes zero-emission Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell trucks, a strategic fueling infrastructure network, maintenance support, and a pay-per-mile pricing model without upfront capital investment. The Texas Hydrogen Alliance Executive Director expressed excitement about innovators like Hyroad entering the market to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-fueled trucks, emphasizing Texas's potential to lead in the global hydrogen economy.
