Hyundai is set to launch a new hydrogen fuel-cell SUV called the Hyundai Initium, showcasing a unique design language termed 'Art of Steel.' This model, scheduled for release in the first half of 2025, aims to offer a driving range exceeding 400 miles, powered by a third-generation fuel-cell stack delivering 201 horsepower. To address the challenges of hydrogen fuel availability, Hyundai has integrated a route planner into the Initium's features to guide drivers to the nearest refilling stations. This system also provides real-time updates on station statuses to prevent issues like closures or long waiting times. Beyond its functionality, the Initium's design elements, such as the parametric pixels light signature and rugged exterior features, are expected to influence future Hyundai vehicle designs. The Hyundai Initium will be showcased at the LA Auto Show and Auto Guangzhou, with the production model set for a debut in 2025.
