Indian Oil, in collaboration with the Indian Army, recently initiated a project to promote hydrogen and fuel cell technology for heavy-duty e-mobility. At an event held in Delhi, Indian Oil handed over a hydrogen fuel cell bus to the Indian Army and signed a Memorandum of Understanding to pioneer the deployment of this technology. The initiative aims to evaluate the performance of fuel cell electric buses in the Delhi NCR region and analyze the impact of local fuel and air quality on these systems. With a focus on operational reliability and longevity, the project is a significant step towards sustainable transportation. General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration and highlighted the importance of this partnership in driving the green hydrogen mission of 2023. S M Vaidya, Chairman of IndianOil, emphasized the significance of the collaboration with the Indian Army in advancing green technology and promoting a greener future.
