Nikola Corporation, a global leader in zero-emissions transportation and energy solutions, has announced the establishment of a new HYLA hydrogen refueling station in West Sacramento, California. This move represents a significant step in Nikola's commitment to providing hydrogen refueling solutions for Class 8 trucks. The station, located at 917 Stillwater Rd, will be commercially operational by January 2025. The West Sacramento station will initially be capable of fueling up to 20 Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric Class 8 trucks daily. HYLA, Nikola's energy brand, will offer continuous site support to ensure a seamless fueling experience for customers. This development is part of Nikola's plan to strengthen the north-south I-5 freight corridor and expand hydrogen coverage in Northern California. State Senator Christopher Cabaldon highlighted the importance of hydrogen in accelerating the adoption of zero-emission trucks in California, emphasizing the benefits of rapid refueling and long working range for trucking operations. HYLA's network will provide various refueling options for customers, including modular and permanent stations, customer-owned facilities, and partnerships with public truck stops.
