Ricardo will be showcasing their multi-stack hydrogen fuel cell solution at stand 9090 at the Electric and Hybrid Marine Expo 2024. This cutting-edge technology, developed as part of the Sustainable Hydrogen Powered Shipping (sHYpS) project, is aimed at supporting future decarbonisation in the maritime industry. The project includes the design and testing of a ~500kW gross, 375kW net power fuel cell module (RFC500) and a 40-foot containerised multi-megawatt power plant. The module has received Approval in Principle (AiP) by Lloyd's Register and is currently being tested at Ricardo's hydrogen and fuel cell testing facilities in Shoreham, UK. Trevor Downes will also present on the sHYpS project and fuel cell technology at the expo, providing attendees with a closer look at this innovative technology. Ricardo's focus on sustainable engineering solutions showcases their commitment to supporting decarbonisation across the maritime industry.
