Accelera, the zero-emissions segment of Cummins Inc., welcomed Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to its electrolyzer manufacturing facility in Guadalajara, Spain. The facility, operational since April 2024, is focused on producing proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers and has a current production capacity of 500MW, with plans to scale up to 1GW. One of Accelera's significant projects includes a 100MW electrolyzer system for bp's green hydrogen plant in Lingen, Germany. The Prime Minister's visit was followed by a meeting with industry leaders to discuss boosting Spain's position as Europe's hydrogen hub. Spain, promoting 20% of Europe's green hydrogen projects, aims to achieve 12GW of installed electrolyzers, emphasizing its commitment to the hydrogen economy.
