During the recent Two Sessions in China, several prominent delegates put forward key suggestions to advance the development of green hydrogen and related technologies. NPC deputy Zhong Baoshen emphasized the need to enhance innovation capabilities in the PV industry, accelerate green hydrogen and green methanol projects, and promote rural new energy initiatives. On the other hand, CPPCC member Song Hailiang proposed the coordinated development of hydrogen production, heating, and various forms of hydrogen-based fuels in regions abundant in wind and solar resources. He stressed the importance of creating a comprehensive industry chain for green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and oil. NPC deputy Cao Tianlan discussed the progress made in establishing the 'Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor' and highlighted Dongfang Electric Corporation's contributions to hydrogen technology innovation, including hydrogen production technology and fuel cell power generation systems. The company aims to promote hydrogen-powered vehicles in the region by 2027. Additionally, NPC deputies Zhang Qingsheng and Zhang Tianneng focused on policy recommendations and industry optimizations for China's green hydrogen sector. Zhang Qingsheng suggested enhancing the industry chain development through top-level design and policy support, while Zhang Tianneng proposed introducing different standards and regulations to optimize the hydrogen energy industry policies. These suggestions aim to propel China's green hydrogen industry forward in terms of technology innovation, policy support, and industry collaboration.
