The Climate Impact Innovations Challenge (CIIC) in Indonesia awarded SunGreenH2, Hydrogen Refinery, and AC Biode a total of Rp10 billion in grant funding to pilot their climate solutions. Organized by East Ventures and Temasek Foundation, the program aimed to nurture groundbreaking climate innovations to address global sustainability challenges. The challenge attracted over 500 applicants from 50 countries, with nine finalists selected to refine their projects under mentorship and compete in the finale. The winners, SunGreenH2, Hydrogen Refinery, and AC Biode, were recognized for their innovations in energy transition, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy respectively. The event was part of the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024, held in Jakarta. The winners received funding and support to implement their solutions, contributing to a greener future. The participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity and highlighted their commitment to pioneering green technologies in Indonesia. Partnerships with organizations like PLN, Triputra Agro Persada, and Sinarmas Agribusiness & Food were crucial in supporting the challenge. The Climate Impact Innovations Challenge showcased the potential of innovative technologies to drive sustainable practices and combat climate change in Indonesia and beyond.
