Delta, a global power management leader, unveiled Taiwan's first megawatt-grade R&D lab for hydrogen electrolysis and fuel cells, the Delta Net Zero Science Lab, in Tainan. The lab serves as a testing ground for hydrogen production and fuel cell technologies, aligning Taiwan with global energy transition trends. The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries and industry executives, emphasizing the importance of hydrogen energy in achieving net-zero carbon emissions. Delta's Chairman highlighted the company's commitment to green energy technologies. The lab, equipped with essential facilities for diverse testing scenarios, focuses on solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyzer cell (SOEC) technologies, with the aim of achieving mass production in Taiwan by 2026. Delta's SOFC technology has already been applied in microgrid projects, while the SOEC technology shows promise in industrial hydrogen production. The lab provides support for material localization and system integration, aiming to contribute to carbon reduction efforts.
