Head of marine operations, Adrian Bartlett, highlights how the system works by splitting hydrogen from water through electrolysis, leading to a more complete combustion process in diesel engines and thus reducing pollution. The EcoPro system is tailored to individual engine needs, offering significant fuel savings averaging 10%, with some vessels experiencing up to 18% savings. Additionally, the cleaner burns achieved by EcoPro help in reducing particulate matter and other pollutants, potentially meeting stringent emissions standards. Bartlett emphasizes the system's ease of installation, compact design, and adaptability to various engine sizes, making it a practical and efficient solution for commercial fishing vessels. With successful installations on 38 vessels, including over 20 commercial fishing boats, Ecomotus is looking to expand its impact to the U.S., showcasing the system's promising future in the marine industry.
