The Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC) has allocated £500,000 to boost the net zero transition by supporting clean energy technology startups. Eleven firms have been selected as winners of the 2025 TechX Clean Energy Accelerator, receiving funding, mentorship, and access to industry networks. The startups will benefit from an 18-week tailored mentorship program, leading to their participation in the NZTC's Demo Day to showcase their solutions to potential investors. Additionally, the NZTC will offer up to two years of growth support, including continued access to their business network and co-working facilities for business expansion. The diverse range of winning firms includes those focusing on thermal energy, low-carbon hydrogen, carbon capture, and energy storage technologies. Mark Anderson, the NZTC's chief acceleration officer, highlighted the vital role of startups in driving the transition to net zero.
