Ballard Power Systems has recently announced a significant agreement with Stadler US to supply 8 megawatts of FCmove®-HD+ fuel cell engines for passenger trains in California. These engines will be integrated into Stadler's zero-emission FLIRT H2 trains, supporting the state's efforts to decarbonize commuter rail transportation. The order from Caltrans includes 10 FLIRT H2 trains, with a potential for an additional 19 trains, all aimed at enhancing the state's zero-emission passenger rail capabilities.
