EQUANS and INOCEL have signed a partnership to develop energy storage and production solutions utilizing decarbonated hydrogen. This collaboration merges INOCEL's expertise in high-power hydrogen fuel cells with EQUANS' leadership in the energy and services sector to address the challenges of low-carbon energy production. The partnership targets providing high-performance, environmentally-friendly energy generation solutions for various applications, including dockside electrification, decarbonized propulsion for ships, grid balancing, emergency power generation, and more. By 2025, they aim to offer energy storage and generation solutions ranging from 300 kW to several MW, particularly for port and smart grid infrastructures, facilitating a shift towards renewable energies. INOCEL will supply the fuel cell for the hydrogen generator, while EQUANS will manage containerization. They will collaborate to cover the entire value chain, offering turnkey solutions tailored to customer needs. This strategic partnership emphasizes the importance of hydrogen in the energy transition, aiming to decarbonize industry and mobility.
