From January 25 to December 31, 2025, hydrogen-powered trucks traveling on toll roads within Henan province will be exempted from toll fees. This move aims to incentivize the adoption of hydrogen vehicles known for their high energy density, zero emissions, and abundance. Additionally, battery electric trucks will benefit from a 30% discount on toll fees during the same period, further encouraging the use of electric vehicles. The notice also introduced a preferential industrial electricity pricing policy for off-peak hours during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, aiming to support continuous production and consumption of electricity from renewable sources. The use of hydrogen as an energy resource has gained prominence in China, with provinces like Shandong, Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Jilin implementing toll exemption policies for hydrogen-powered vehicles.
