China's Hubei Province has unveiled an ambitious Action Plan to accelerate the development of the hydrogen industry from 2024 to 2027. The plan outlines a series of targets and initiatives to establish a green hydrogen supply system. By 2027, Hubei aims to build 100 hydrogen refueling stations and achieve an annual hydrogen production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes. The province plans to expand the use of hydrogen energy in transportation, industrial applications, and energy storage, with a specific focus on hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, vessels, and aircraft. Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, is set to become a national hub for hydrogen technology, with the province aiming to create a hydrogen industry cluster in the city. Hubei targets a total industry value of 100 billion yuan, with significant contributions from hydrogen production and application equipment. The province also aims to establish advanced hydrogen innovation platforms, develop cutting-edge technologies, and set industry benchmarks to lead in hydrogen fuel cell and vehicle research and development.
