The collaboration between IIT Bombay and HSBC India aims to foster innovative green hydrogen solutions in India. The Green Hydrogen programme received numerous project proposals from top educational institutions in the country, and six projects have been selected for incubation at IIT Bombay. These projects address critical challenges in green hydrogen technology, including storage systems for commercial vehicles and sustainable hydrogen generators to improve air quality. The joint effort focuses on nurturing these solutions for commercial readiness, supporting their scalability, and contributing to a low carbon economy. HSBC India's CEO highlighted the importance of green hydrogen in achieving sustainability goals, while IIT Bombay's Director emphasized the role of green hydrogen in India's energy landscape. The initiative not only supports the government's National Green Hydrogen Mission but also aims to position India as a leader in green energy.
