The visit of President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam to India aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship initiated during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Singapore in 2024. The focus includes semiconductor ecosystem development, with Singapore being viewed as a potential partner and collaborations expected in skill development within the semiconductor sector, particularly in Odisha.
