Six innovative projects have been shortlisted for incubation at IIT Bombay under the Green Hydrogen programme in collaboration with HSBC India. These projects aim to accelerate the development and deployment of green hydrogen technologies in India. The projects include solutions for indigenous hydrogen storage systems for commercial vehicles, energy-efficient green hydrogen generators, and alternative combustion burners to improve air quality. The initiative focuses on addressing key challenges in green hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. The projects will be nurtured for commercial readiness, with a focus on reducing carbon emissions, enhancing air quality, and promoting sustainable energy alternatives. Additionally, the International Solar Alliance, in partnership with the Asian Development Bank and the Clean Energy Ministerial, launched the Green Hydrogen Enabling Environment Handbook 2024 at COP29. This handbook provides insights from the 2024 Green Hydrogen Policy Accelerator Training Programme and focuses on advancing green hydrogen adoption globally, with a specific emphasis on ISA Member Countries. The initiative aligns with the Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre's aim to promote green hydrogen transition and leverage solar energy for sustainable production and trade.
