Nuvera Fuel Cells and Viritech have entered into a collaboration to support the deployment of hydrogen-powered vehicles, particularly in motorsport and on-road commercial applications. Under a Memorandum of Understanding, Nuvera will provide its high-performance E-Series fuel cell engines to be integrated with Viritech's VPT60N powertrain product line. This collaboration is expected to advance the development of fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) and contribute to the creation of a more efficient and sustainable FCEV ecosystem. Previously, the two companies successfully showcased their cooperation by incorporating Nuvera's E-60 engine into a hydrogen-powered race car, demonstrating its capabilities at the MIRA test facility. The partnership aims to enable quick project implementation for customers interested in fuel cell technology. Additionally, Nuvera recently received a follow-up order for its E-Series fuel cell engines from DEVINN, a company based in the Czech Republic. This order will allow DEVINN to pair the fuel cell technology with an onsite electrolyser to generate electricity for grid applications. The collaboration between Nuvera Fuel Cells and Viritech highlights the ongoing efforts to promote hydrogen as a viable and sustainable solution for the transportation sector.
