SINOPEC CORP's Yanshan Petrochemical has completed its hydrogen purification facilities improvement project, resulting in a significant boost to the hydrogen supply in Northern China. The newly operational facilities have a throughput of 10,000 normal cubic meters per hour, leading to an increase in Yanshan Petrochemical's total hydrogen production capacity for fuel cells to over 8,000 tons per annum. Additionally, the facility now supplies 24 tons of hydrogen daily to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region for use in fuel cell vehicles, marking a substantial contribution to the adoption of clean energy transportation in the area. With this enhancement, Yanshan Petrochemical is set to become the primary hydrogen supply hub for fuel cells in Northern China, underlining its pivotal role in advancing the hydrogen economy in the region. The project's focus on improving hydrogen purification facilities aligns with the broader goal of promoting sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions in China's industrial landscape.
