In preparation for the 2024 Olympics held in Paris, Toyota, as a partner of the event, has introduced a hydrogen truck decked out in the company's colors to deliver small electric vehicles. Cedric Borremans, Mr. Olympic Games at Toyota Motor Europe, shared on LinkedIn images of the truck operating on the streets of Paris, specifically at the iconic locations of Place de l’Etoile and Place de la Concorde. The hydrogen truck, fitted with Toyota's fuel cells and retrofitted by Hyliko, is managed by Bert & You under the supervision of CEVA Logistics. Toyota emphasizes the use of hydrogen in the truck, with the supply being provided by Air Liquide, another partner of the Paris Olympics. This initiative serves as a creative way for the involved companies to promote their contributions to the games without explicit advertising. Beyond hydrogen, Toyota's commitment to sustainable transportation solutions is evident through their incorporation of electric, hybrid, and synthetic fuels in addition to hydrogen for their fleet of 500 Mirai vehicles.
